What’s Dr. Bullard Been Up to? Her Updated Role at Comprehensive Dentistry
Comprehensive Dentistry exists because of one extraordinary woman, Dr. Colleen Bullard. Dr. Bullard is the founder and president of our dental practice and an essential part of who we are! Keep reading to learn more about her background and what she does here at Comprehensive Dentistry.
Before Comprehensive Dentistry
Dr. Bullard is an accomplished scholar and dentist. She studied psychology during her undergraduate program and received a Master’s Degree in social work. She also was inducted into the honor society in psychology, Psi Chi. Dr. Bullard got her start in dentistry at the prestigious University of Michigan Dental School: the country’s number one ranked dental school. During her time in school, she mentored under Dr. Arun Gard in the practice of surgical implant placement, and she was inducted into the highly prestigious dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She later founded Comprehensive Dentistry in 2006.
Giving Back
Dr. Bullard has a passion for serving her community. She works with a local community partner, Hope Clinics, an organization dedicated to providing free medical services and food to those in need. Her partnership with the Hope Clinics provides dental services to underserved Ypsilanti and Westland, Michigan residents. She has also done extensive work with World Mission Partners to provide dental care to communities in need. Her work has extended to communities as far as the Dominican Republic.
Her Role at Comprehensive Dentistry
Dr. Bullard is one of our four dentists. She specializes in surgical implant placement and is known for her friendly demeanor and positive attitude. She gives expert advice to her team to help patient know about the importance of flossing, keeping up with their yearly checkups, and protecting their teeth. Our team loves working with her!
Dr. Bullard is constantly working to improve our practice and ensure that we provide high-quality care to our patients. She has transitioned away from seeing patients on a regular basis and now invests her time managing the practice and her team to provide excellent dental care to everyone in the Comp Dent Family. One of the ways she does this is by carefully selecting the best candidates to build our team. She spends time interviewing each candidate and asking important questions about their background, goals, and values to ensure that they will be an asset to our team and patients. She also works across all teams to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. She works closely with our clinical team and doctors to ensure that procedures are correctly completed, and she works with the administrative team to ensure that patients’ appointments are scheduled, questions are answered, and insurance is handled. Through every facet of our practice, Dr. Bullard exudes our principles of growth, gratitude, and generosity.
Outside the Office
When Dr. Bullard is not in the office, she enjoys spending time reading or practicing hot yoga. She is a proud member of the University of Michigan Alumni and loves cheering on the sports teams! Most importantly, she loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and niece. We are so blessed to have such a passionate, dedicated, and inspiring expert at the helm of our dental practice.
